Ironman World Championships Hawaii 2013

Ironman World Championship at Hawaii – the Mecca of all triathletes

The ultimate discipline in the triathlon is the Ironman: 3.8 kilometre swim, 180 kilometre cycle and a marathon over 42.195 kilometres are to be completed during an Ironman. Only a few athletes will make the leap to the World Championships for this racing distance in Hawaii in October. In total there are only 80 places for the pros (50 men and 30 women) and around 1700 for the age-group athletes, which for the most part will be assigned during the season through positions in different races. Three of the coveted slots for the pro-group 2013 were able to be secured by three athletes from the POWER HORSE Triathlon Team, newly founded in March 2013. On 12th October, Timo Bracht, Jan Raphael and Horst Reichel will race in the World Championships. More information about the team, training insights and the gear → www.x-bionic.com/ironman-hawaii-2013
