X-Socks and X-Bionic UnderGear got well covered by the blogosphere even before the X-Bionic Blog existed. Here’s a quick round-up of what people had to say:

“Time to get serious about socks”

Thursday, March 23rd, 2006

Journal Inqiurer’s Chris Dehnel reviewed X-Socks. His verdict:

During the long, slow ride up the main chairlift, my feet stayed warm. Even after an aggressive run, when your feet tend to cool off on the ride back up the mountain, they were warm. They were very comfortable, even on the hardest of turns.

There will also be a feature of him about X-Socks in the fall issue of Snow East Magazine.

“…simply the best base layer…”

Wednesday, March 8th, 2006

SheCycles.com tests X-Bionic UnderGear - this is what they say:

We tested the X-Undergear in a variety of conditions from serious sub-zero temps to warmer winter days when sweating was more of an issue than getting cold. Which ever you choose to ride in the X-Underwear, it performed suberbly, infact we’d be happy to standby our claim that it is simply the best base layer we’ve ever had the pleasure of wearing.

Super technical with an amazing fit the X-UnderGear shirt opens up new horizons for base layers

“Perhaps the Best Athletic Socks Ever Made”

Tuesday, March 7th, 2006

Thanks for the compliment!

X-Socks were reviewed in the Getoutdoors.com Outdoor Blog and they come away very well. This is what they have to say:

…they are extremely supportive and comfortable

…, I would say these socks are incredible and are by far the best socks I’ve ever worn for sports.

I can’t help but think, over time and washings, these nifty little features will slowly age away, don’t know…

GetOutdoors.com

I can assure you, the features won’t age away. The SilverNodor yarn does not lose its effect over time, nor does any other feature. Also, we give a full two year guarantee.

P.S.: X-Socks are developed in Switzerland.

“Expensive, but definitely worth the money”

Monday, February 27th, 2006

In comes another review of our X-Bionic UnderGear. This time from the Swiss business magazine moneycab. Author Helmuth Fuchs says “…if you have ever worn it, you don’t want to wear anything else anymore.”

Update: Added a rough translation.

“You do not get socks more advanced than this”

Monday, February 27th, 2006

This is what the Norwegian web site Syklistenes Landsforening has to say about X-Socks in their review. 6 out of 6 points for functionality!

Thanks to Knut from our Norwegian distributor Interplaza for pointing that out.

Update: Knut translated parts of the review for us:

Advanced socks

You don’t find socks more advanced than these

By Morten Karlsen, Feb. 26, 2006
The Union of Bicyclists, Norway

“We are used to advanced bicycles, shoes, jackets, gloves. This is not enough. Now also socks are build up in an advanced way. As many manufacturers of socks make socks in the same fabric and the same thickness all over the sock, X-Socks has gone in and defined where on the foot it is needed different functions. Then they make the socks with maximum wearing characteristic underneath the foot where the contact with the shoe is intense, they add a thick shockabsorbing material across the Achilles back on the heel, padding over the ankles, etc. etc. read more on www.x-socks.com”.

X-Socks Power Walking on about.com

Wednesday, January 11th, 2006

about.com’s Wendy Bumgardner has done a review of X-Socks Power Walking.

She writes

X-Socks are the most highly engineered high tech socks I’ve ever seen. The Power Walking version is an ankle-high sock with nine specific features. The sock comes in both men’s and women’s versions to fit the shape of male and female feet.

David Ponce has a great review of X-Socks and X-Bionic UnderGear over at ohGizmo. Nice that he took the time to test the samples himself and write about them.

His verdict:

So, there you have it, people. These may truly be the most technologically advanced undergarments around. They have been engineered to give you an outstanding sporting experience, and I’m happy to say that any self respecting athlete should get their hands on some.

Thanks, David.
